"What can 'In-camera AI' possibly mean?
Allow me to explain: I have been a commercial drinks and food photographer for three decades creating content for brands across the globe. My desire to tell brand stories has me perpetually testing new techniques to couple with my traditional methods of capturing images. This has led me to the rapidly advancing, and often divisive world of AI.
I am using AI to create scenes that would not be possible with traditional methods of photography, set construction or post production. AI allows me to imagine new worlds in which products live, and to create new realities. Yet everything I capture is done completely in-camera with post production limited to blemish removal and color grading. It’s a fascinating process that has changed and invigorated the way I create content.
All of the content in this gallery was created with the assistance of AI and captured in-camera. I hope you enjoy what you see.
Please view more of my work at my website. And please reach out to learn more and to talk about how we can bring your next project to life."

"I am an award-winning, editorial and commercial, food and drink photographer based out of Atlanta and New York City, and travel frequently across the U.S, and the globe for food stories.
I love shooting food and drink, as food is the one common denominator between all people and across all cultures. I love crafting light to bring out the best features of a particular dish or beverage. And I truly enjoy telling food stories and collaborating with brands to create stunning visuals.

It is one thing to shoot food photography with enormous appetite appeal, but a whole different area of expertise to photograph beverages.
Photographer and director Stephen Hamilton explains it this way: “Liquids never stop moving. You look into transparent liquids. They can have bubbles popping and froth foaming. Beverages may need to be poured or stirred. Hot ones need a stream of steam or cold ones a glass crusted with ice. Whipped cream toppings melt in two minutes, as does ice cream. It takes a lot of planning and a great team to shoot beverages.”
Whether it is a cocktail, a mocktail or a new line of energy drinks that needs to be shot, Stephen Hamilton Productions takes a 360° capabilities approach to every project. You wil have a comfortable shoot in his 11,000 sq ft studio and then walk away with every asset for your campaign in hand.
At the tender age of 14, as Steve Buchanan diligently stocked shelves at a local 7-Eleven, a serendipitous encounter forever altered the course of his life. While meticulously arranging products on the shelves, he came across a roll of Kodak film, and the words imprinted on the label beckoned to him: "Take this film to your Kodak processor or develop it yourself using Kodak chemistry." This seemingly mundane moment sparked a fervor within him.
Throughout the years, Steve has artfully turned his camera lens towards an eclectic array of subjects. From ancient mummies to machine guns, and from cherished landmarks to unforgettable escapades (like that memorable incident in the heart of a blast freezer), Steve's quest for innovative approaches to capture his subjects has been an enduring and impassioned pursuit.
Steve Ryan is a portrait and food photographer with over 18 years of experience from Kilkenny, Ireland.
Steve’s latest venture is a collaboration between his 40ft Brewery company and Acme Fire Cult alongside renowned chefs Andrew Clarke and Daniel Watkins in Dalston.
