Simon Urwin recently completed an epic three-week photo shoot across China and Tibet, beginning in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province, and ending at Everest Base Camp.
In that time, he immersed himself in the world of Yellow Hat Sect monks, lived in a Khampa village deep in the Himalayas, and explored a hidden corner of China, barely changed since the time of the Cultural Revolution.

Dean Northcott has had a transformative year with his personal work. Stimulated and inspired by the light in Portugal on holiday in 2017, he developed a fresh, contemporary new look that has led to exciting commissions in his commercial work with advertising shoots for Pokerstars, HM Government and Hendrick’s Gin, amongst others.
2017 ended on a high with Dean landing another award from the AOP UK for a personal landscape series.
Born in New Zealand, Dean was raised on a diet of sport, barbeques and beach. After several years of world travel in his early 20s during which time he developed his sense of aesthetics, he arrived camera-in-hand in London in the early 90s and went on to study Photography at LCP.
A former semi-pro rugby player, a third Dan black-belt in karate and marathon runner, sport is at the epicentre of Dean's entire life and this is exemplified in the mood and texture of his work.
